Amarillo Area Transgender Support Group

The Amarillo Area Transgender Support Group is a peer-led group with break-out groups supporting youth, trans men, trans women, family members, non-gender-conforming individuals, and/or couples. The group meets weekly at a safe place.

Nomination Deadline – April 30th


Panhandle Pride would like to continue the tradition of honoring a local member of the community that has been a proud beacon showing the way we serve our community.  Nominees may be a member of the Amarillo LGBT+ community or an ally of the LGBT+ community.

We invite all individuals and organizations to carefully consider a worthy nominee.  You must use this form to submit a nominee.  All nominations are due by April 30th.  Please be as thorough as possible when you describe why your nominee should be considered “Person of the Year.”

Volunteers Needed!

Our community’s needs – and our organization – continue to grow and the need for volunteers grows as well.  Any and all time and talent you may be able to offer is certainly welcome.

We are in special need of folks that have experience or would like experience in:

  • Recruitment Coordinators:  we are looking for volunteers willing to call on local and national businesses to ask for their financial support, and talk about partnership opportunities, if telemarketing is your talent we have a desperate need for you.
  • Entertainment:  We need you if you are willing to work with entertainers, or help on a stage crew.PR
  • Festival Day: The day of the event your help will be appreciated if you are willing to help set up the festival Sunday morning, or work on the clean up crew, or help with information booth, or be part of the volleyball tournament, or help kids at the bouncy house, or just be available to run errands.
  • PR/Marketing: With the adventure that is the digital sphere, we are in constant need of marketing interns, brand ambassadors, graphic designers, and other talented folks to help tell the story of Panhandle Pride and our Community!

EVENT: Legal Aid Town Hall – 2.6.18

Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas invites you  to our Town Hall on February 6, 2018.  Share with us ways we can improve Legal Aid’s services in our community  or let us know about issues in the community that concern you.

When:  February 6, 2018, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Where:  High Plains Food Bank, 815 Ross St., Amarillo

Lunch will be catered by McAllister’s Deli.
